FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team (4-8 overall, 2-2 conference) play on Sunday, October 3rd, facing off against Dayton (6-4-2 overall, 3-1 conference).
 
Kickoff between the Patriots and the Flyers is set for 1 p.m. inside Baujun Field. Fans can follow the action via live stats.
 
Mason is looking to continue their win streak, coming off a win against St. Bonaventure.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Possession of the ball was split evenly amongst the Patriots and the Bonnies. St. Bonaventure tallied 13 total shots (four on goal). Mason tallied one goals on 19 total shots (six on goal). Senior Louisa Moser earns the win and tallies her first shutout of the season.
 
Freshman Hailey Martinez scored the game winning goal for the Patriots off an assist from junior Grace Hotaling . This was Martinez's second goal of the season and second game winning goal in A-10 play. Hotaling adds another assist for the season, tallying her fifth assist.
 
Seniors Sara Chontosh and Dacheka Kolcum (one on goal) each tallied four shots in the contest. Senior Kolbrún Eyjólfsdóttir and junior Grace Hotaling (two on goal) each recorded two shots in the match. Seniors Naja Ashman and Shannon Lee (one on goal), junior Kaitlyn Butcher, sophomore Katie Saunders, and freshmen Hailey Martinez (one on goal), Lea Spittka (one on goal), and Serena Spitz all tallied one shot in the match.

HISTORY vs. THE FLYERS
In the last eight contests between the two programs, Dayton holds the edge over Mason, with a record of 5-3. The last time these two programs faced off was in the 2019 season where the Flyers defeated the Patriots 2-0 at Dayton.

SCOUTING DAYTON
The Flyers have started their 2021 season holding a record of 6-4-2, with a 3-1 record in the conference. Dayton finished their 2020-21 season with a 7-6-1 overall record, 4-3-1 record in the conference.
