WASHINGTON, D.C. – The George Mason women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Howard on Friday evening in Washington, D.C.
"We came out and played exactly how we prepared – scrappy, aggressive and really going after them," said head coach
Aylene Ilkson. "But unfortunately we couldn't maintain that consistent effort and we had the match slip away from us. We currently are battling to stay healthy while getting a lineup on the floor that we can feel confident in. With two more matches this weekend, we are going to take the positives from today and build upon them heading into tomorrow. "
Mason will open its home slate tomorrow against Coppin State. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the RAC. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+.
