FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team will play at Richmond on Tuesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Robins Center.
Tuesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
PATRIOT POINTS
* The Patriots (3-10, 0-6 A-10) will look to snap a six-game losing streak and secure their first conference win.
* A late fourth quarter run propelled La Salle past Mason on Sunday afternoon. Mason took its largest lead of the game with less than seven minutes remaining (49-38). But, La Salle finished the game on an 18-0 run to complete the comeback, 56-49.
* Mason won the rebounding battle 57-33 (+24) and grabbed 25 offensive rebounds, which it turned into 15 second-chance points.
* The Patriots, however, struggled with turnovers again, committing a season-high 22 miscues. La Salle scored 17 points off turnovers. Mason is averaging 16.83 turnovers in A-10 play.
* Freshman
Teodora Popovic scored a team-high 11 points in just her second-ever collegiate game. She earned her first career start and added three assists and two rebounds.
* Mason is 0-6 when one player finishes in double figures. Conversely, they are 3-1 when three or more players finish in double figures.

Jazmyn Doster (13), junior
Devyn Wilson (10) and sophomore
Jordan Wakefield (9) all registered career highs in rebounds. Doster also notched a career-high nine offensive boards.
* Redshirt freshman
Rachel Balzer made her first career start against La Salle and scored nine points on 3-of-9 shooting from behind-the-arc.
* Korpinen has scored in double figures nine times in 2020-21 and 26 times in her career. In the A-10, Korpinen ranks 16th in scoring (11.2), 24th in rebounding (5.8) and 13th in FT percentage (.755).

Daijah Jefferson has registered four double-digit rebounding performances this season and is averaging 8.3 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.
* Mason is outscoring its opponents 226-196 in the fourth quarter (+31) and has outscored 10 of its 13 opponents in the final period this season. But, the Patriots were outscored 21-7 in the fourth quarter at La Salle, resulting in the Explorers come-from-behind victory.
* The Patriots are first in the conference in offensive rebounds per game (15.2) and third in total rebounds per game (41.2).
* Mason ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 in three-point field goal defense, holding opponents to a mark of 28.7 percent from behind-the-arc.
* Mason shot 72.8 percent from the charity stripe during non-conference play; but in A-10 play are just 67.1 percent from the line.
* Seven different Patriots have led the team in scoring this season - Korpinen (6), Jefferson (3), Wilson, Wakefield, Doster, Balzer and Popovic. The Patriots have six players averaging at least 5.0 points per game. In addition, nine players have at least registered one double-digit scoring performance in 2020-21.
SERIES HISTORY
One of Mason's most frequent opponents, Richmond holds a 38-25 lead in the all-time series. The Spiders snapped a two-game losing streak to the Patriots with a 75-70 win over Mason last season on Feb. 19, 2020. Mason has won three of the last five after the Spiders had won the previous eight meetings. The two teams played in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) until Richmond left after the 2000-01 season.
SCOUTING RICHMOND
Richmond is 7-4 overall and 4-2 in the Atlantic 10. The Spiders recently knocked off A-10 preseason favorite VCU on Sunday (69-64).
The Spiders are led by Kate Klimkiewicz who averages a team-high 14.2 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. Freshman Addie Budnik, a two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week selection, leads all freshmen in the NCAA with 34 blocks in 11 games.
The Spiders are averaging 63.4 points per game and allowing 63.5.
