FAIRFAX, Va.
– The George Mason men's volleyball team fell in four sets (22-25, 25-22, 24-26, 22-25) to Ball State on Saturday afternoon inside the RAC.

Despite besting the Cardinals in numerous team statistics (hitting percentage, blocks and digs), the Patriots could not contain Ball State's offense in the final two sets. The Cardinals racked up six service aces in the last two games to give the Green & Gold their first loss of the season.

"We struggled again with our setting and passing tonight," head coach Jay Hosack said. "That is 90 percent of the game and when you struggle at that it is pretty tough to be successful. We have a week ahead of us to get better and that is what non-conference is for. We will learn from this and get better."
