FAIRFAX, Va. – Former George Mason University men's basketball forward Mike Morrison will compete with Yalova Basket in Turkey this coming season.
Entering his ninth professional campaign, Morrison most recently played with Mono Vampire in Thailand, where he averaged 14.5 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.5 steals in 2019-20.
Morrison remains one of the most explosive and defensively intimidating players in Mason history. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native still ranks t-3
rd all time in school annals in blocks (174) and is 16
th in career rebounds (658). A member of two Mason NCAA Tournament Teams, Morrison averaged 8.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in the 2011 Big Dance, helping the Patriots earn a Round of 64 victory over Villanova.
Over his eight professional campaigns, Morrison has competed in Belgium, Finland and Germany, amongst other stops. He garnered all-league accolades in the Finnish Korisliiga in 2014.
