Jalen Jenkins Signs to Play with Antwerp Giants

FAIRFAX, Va. – Former George Mason University men's basketball standout forward Jalen Jenkins will continue his professional basketball career with the Antwerp Giants.
 
A veteran of the Belgian Euromillions League, Jenkins heads to Antwerp after a season with Limburg United in which he averaged 10.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest.
 
The 2020-21 campaign will mark Jenkins' fourth professional season. His career also included a stop at Rilski in the Bulgarian NBL, where he averaged 12.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists while garnerning All-Bulgarian League honorable mention accolades in 2018-19. During that season, he compiled an impressive 15.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 blocks/game in eight FIBA Euro Cup contests.
 
A four-year contributor who put together a banner senior season in 2016-17, Jenkins ranks t-6th all time at Mason in games played (128) and is tied for 10th in blocks (91) with Jai Lewis. He is 12th all time at Mason in rebounding (706) and posted the seventh-best field goal percentage mark in Patriot history as a senior (.612, 158-258).
 
Jenkins tallied 12.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game season in 27.7 minutes per contest during his final season in a Mason uniform. The Brooklyn, N.Y., product was a critical contributor to a team that posted the 13th 20-win season in program history.
