FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University women's basketball head coach Nyla Milleson announced on Friday the addition of guard Milica Manojlovic to the program.

Manojlovic, a native of Tivat, Montenegro, joins the Patriots as a transfer from Furman University. She will have two years of playing eligibility at Mason beginning in 2021-22.

"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Milica to our program," said Milleson. "From the very first recruiting conversation, I think we both knew the fit was perfect. During the last two seasons, Milica got great experience on the floor while also winning a lot of games. She is one of the best passers in the country and will make her teammates better each day. We are looking forward to eventually getting back on the court with our entire team and having her with us!"

The 5-foot-7 guard played in 61 games in two seasons at Furman, making 57 career starts.

In 2019-20, she started all 31 games for the Paladins where she averaged 32 minutes, 7.2 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. Her five assists per game ranked in the top-40 in Division I women's basketball. She scored in double figures nine times, including her season high of 19 points on two occasions.

As a redshirt freshman in 2018-19, she was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team. She started in 26 games and played a key role in Furman's strong stretch run, averaging 8.0 ppg while shooting 44.4 percent from 3-point range over the regular season's final eight contests.

Prior to Furman, she averaged 15.4 points per game, tallied 101 assists and 81 steals, and shot 44 percent from field as a senior at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School (Ga.), where she served as team captain and earned First Team All-Conference honors.

She has represented her native country of Montenegro at the FIBA U18 and U20 tournaments. As a 16-year-old, she was the starting point guard on Montenegro's squad at the 2016 European Championships.
