FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University 2020 signee Malik Henry has earned Texas 6A All-State honors, adding to a growing list of awards for the talented forward.
 
In addition to all-state, Henry was recognized as the 2020 East Texas Player of the Year. The Longview, Texas, product also garnered 11-6A All-District accolades and 2-6A All-Region honors. In recognition of his elite rim protection skills, Henry was named the 11-6A Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight year.
 
Henry averaged 14.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and blocked 94 shots in an outstanding senior campaign for Longview High School in 2019-20. An 1,000-point scorer, Henry also finished his Longview career with more than 800 career rebounds and 130 dunks. He tallied 15 double-doubles as a senior and scored 10+ points in 29 of 34 games.
 
Rivals.com lists Henry as a top-50 power forward in the Class of 2020.

Henry is part of a talented Mason 2020 class which includes guards Tyler Kolek (Cumberland, R.I.) and Ronald Polite (Oxon Hill, Md.).
