FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason University men's basketball head coach
Dave Paulsen announced Friday that Otis Frazier III has signed a national letter of intent to join the Patriots in 2020-21.
A 6-foot-6-inch wing, Frazier III is a native of Buckeye, Ariz., and is coming off an impactful post-graduate season at Mt. Zion Prep in Maryland, where he suited up against some of the top talent across the country.

"We're really excited to add Otis to the Mason Family," Paulsen said. "He had an outstanding prep year at Mt. Zion playing against elite competition for one of the best coaches around. Otis is a dynamic and versatile player with excellent length and a high basketball IQ. His coaches rave about his work ethic and competitiveness. I can't wait to get him on campus."
Frazier III recently wrapped up his 2019-20 campaign at Mt. Zion, where he led the Warriors to a top-10 ranking in the National Prep Coaches Poll. He averaged 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in the 2020 National Prep Tournament, which included a victory over No. 8 Sunrise Christian. During the 2019-20 season, Frazier III also helped the Warriors claim victories over No. 3 Hargrave Military Academy and No. 10 St. Thomas More.
Frazier III is part of a prestigious Mt. Zion basketball alumni group which includes 2020 Wooden Award winner Obi Toppin. Frazier III's 2019-20 Mt. Zion teammates include commits to Syracuse (Woody Newton) and Virginia Tech (David N'Guessan).
Prior to Mt. Zion, Frazier III played four seasons at Buckeye Union High School in Arizona, where he paced the Hawks to the Arizona Class 4A semifinals in 2018. He played his AAU ball for Compton Magic, a prestigious program which also produced rising Mason junior

Frazier III joins a talented George Mason recruiting class which includes guards Tyler Kolek (Cumberland, R.I.) and Ronald Polite (Oxon Hill, Md.), and forward Malik Henry (Longview, Texas).
