Mason's Colston DiBlasi punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships with a fifth-place finish at the MAC Championships held this weekend at Northern Illinois University. 
 
At 149 pounds, No. 15 Colston DiBlasi edged Old Dominion's Kenan Carter, 4-3 in the fifth-place match. He will represent the Patriots for the second straight year at the NCAA Championship.

Redshirt sophomore Neil Schuster earned a sixth-place finish at 165 pounds. In the fifth-place match, Cleveland State's Riley Smucker won by decision, 8-2.

The Patriots Alex Madrigal finished sixth at 141 pounds. Lock Haven's All-American and No. 13 Kyle Shoop earned a 7-0 decision against Madrigal in the 5^th place match. In the consolation semifinal, Madrigal lost a decision to Missouri's Grant, 6-2.

At 133 pounds, Mason Josh Jones finished eighth. In the 7^th place match, Cleveland State's Justin Patrick, pre-seeded eighth in the tournament, won by decision, 8-1.

Colston, along with any additional Patriots that earn at-large bids, will compete at the NCAA Championship March 19-21 in Minneapolis.
