FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team concludes non-conference play against Delaware State on Monday inside EagleBank Arena. Tip-off in Fairfax is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Monday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+, with commentary by Steve Kolbe. In addition, Brian McSweeney will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:50 p.m.
 
PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason put up a valiant defensive effort in a 64-34 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday inside EagleBank Arena. The Patriots moved to 2-3 with one non-conference game remaining.
 
* Entering Saturday's contest, Ole Miss ranked 14th nationally in scoring offense (89.6 ppg). The Patriots held the Rebels to a season-low 64 points as well as their fewest point total in the first quarter (9) and first half (26) this season.
 
* Sophomore Jordan Wakefield registered her fourth double-digit scoring performance this season with a team-high 11 points vs. Ole Miss. She knocked down a career-best three 3-pointers (.600) in her second consecutive start.
 
* Transfer Milica Manojlovic made her Mason debut on Saturday, earning the start against Ole Miss.
 
* Five different Patriots have led the team in scoring this season – Marika Korpinen (2), Daijah Jefferson, Devyn Wilson, Jazmyn Doster and Wakefield.
 
* Mason is outscoring its opponents 135-93 in the fourth quarter (+42) while shooting 41.5 percent from the floor (39-94). Mason has outscored all six opponents in the fourth quarter this season.
 
* Korpinen (11.5) and Jefferson (11.2) are averaging double figures through six games – good for 24th and 25th in the A-10, respectively.
 
* After ranking 12th in the A-10 in free throw percentage a year ago (.665), Mason currently boasts a free throw percentage of .718. Nationally, they rank 34th in free throws made (94) and 44th in free throw attempts (133).
 
* Freshman Taylor Jameson is an impressive 11-of-12 from the charity stripe (.917) – good for fourth in the A-10. Wilson ranks 11th in the league in FT percentage, converting 16-of-20 free throw attempts (.800) while Jefferson leads the A-10 in FT made (24) and FT attempts (33).
 
* The Patriots continue to be efficient on the boards, ranking second in the A-10 and 21st nationally in offensive rebounds per game (17.2). Mason also ranks third in the A-10 in rebounds per game (42.8).
 
* The Patriots have two players in the top-20 in the A-10 in rebounding: Jefferson (4th, 8.8) and Doster (12th, 7.3). Jefferson has tallied the most rebounds in the A-10 with 53 boards.
 
* For the first time in 22 years, Mason had five players finish in double figures in consecutive games: Navy (Nov. 29) and Longwood (Dec. 1). The last time Mason had five players in double figures in back-to-back games was at Seton Hall on Dec. 2, 1998 and vs. Coppin State on Dec. 8, 1998.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Monday's matchup marks the first meeting between the two teams since Nov. 19, 2014. The Patriots defeated the Hornets 110-91 to set a new women's basketball EagleBank Arena record for points scored.

Mason leads the all-time series 15-3 and boasts a 9-1 on its home court.

SCOUTING DELAWARE STATE
Delaware State most recently fell to Lincoln (Pa.) 72-55 on Wednesday to move to 1-1 on the young season. The Hornets are paced by senior duo Sha Collins and Janasia Law who are averaging 11 points per game. 

Delaware State finished 12-18 overall and 8-8 in the MEAC last season, the most total and league wins by the team since the 2008-09 campaign. The Hornets return nine letterwinners from last season, including preseason All-MEAC Second Team selection Sha Collins and Third Team pick Lyric Turner.

The Hornets were predicted to finish third in the MEAC's Northern Division.
