Niko Colburn joins the Patriots from Huntington Beach, Calif., where he is the program leader in kills at Huntington Beach High School.  An outside hitter, Colburn earned All-American, All-Tournament, All-County and All-Academic honors while playing for the Oilers.

When did you first start playing volleyball?
 
Eighth grade.

What is your favorite volleyball memory?
 
Playing at the beach with my friends.

What is your favorite thing when you are playing?
 
Hitting the ball.

Why did you choose to continue your athletic and academic career at George Mason?
 
The university and the program have a great atmosphere.
 
What is your favorite team and who is your favorite player?
 
My favorite team is Team USA and my favorite player is Kofi.

Who are your role models on and off the court?
 
I do not have role models.

What is your favorite spot on campus?
 
Southside dining hall.

What is your major and why did you choose it?
 
Business because it's important in a lot of stuff in life.

When I'm not playing volleyball, what is your favorite thing to do?
 
Play spikeball or go to beach.
