PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots have won 16 of their past 26 A-10 games (.615) dating back to the 2017-18 campaign.

• Mason fell in its A-10 opener to preseason favorite VCU, 72-59, on Sunday. The Patriots were doomed by a first half in which they shot 30.3 percent (10-33) from the floor (2-13 3pt FG).

• The Patriots held a +5 edge in turnovers (18-13) against a VCU team which entered the game top-5 nationally in TO margin (+6.4).

• Junior Javon Greene led Mason in points (13), assists (4) and steals (3) vs. VCU. Freshman Xavier Johnson added 12 points and made 5-of-7 field goal attempts while playing a career-high 36 minutes.

• Johnson is averaging 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and shooting 50 percent (13-26) over the past four games.

• Mason's 11 regular season non-conference wins are a Division I school record. The Patriots had 10 victories in 2016-17 and 2010-11, and nine in 2011-12 and 2007-08. The 1983-84 team (Div. II) tallied 16 regular season non-conference wins. Mason began the year 5-0 for the first time in school history.

• Mason is shooting 39.4 percent from the floor and 28.1 percent from 3 since returning from the Cayman Classic. Those numbers are at 34.8 percent and 25.6 percent, respectively, in the past two games vs. KenPom top-50 defenses TCU and VCU.

• Sophomore Jordan Miller has posted 10+ points in three straight games. He averages a team-best 13.4 points and is one of three league players in the A-10 top-15 in FG%, 3pt FG% and FT%, along with Ibi Watson of Dayton and Jacob Gilyard of Richmond.

• Redshirt-junior AJ Wilson is third in the nation in blocks/game (3.57). Wilson is tied for fifth on Mason's all-time blocks list (122) with Eric Copes.

• The Patriots still rank in the top-50 nationally in 3pt FG defense, but over the past two contests, opponents have shot 48.8 percent (20-41) from beyond the arc against the Green & Gold.

• Four of the Patriots'  first six A-10 games are at home.

• Mason is 282nd in experience (1.34 years/player) this season, while St. Bonaventure ranks 330th (1.06 years/player).

• The Patriots are 10-0 when shooting 40 percent or better from the floor this season.

• Mason is No. 118 in the NCAA NET metric as of Jan. 7 and No. 142 in the rankings compiled by efficiency wiz Ken Pomeroy. Mason's three losses have all come to NET & KenPom top-75 teams.

HISTORY vs. SBU
Wednesday's matchup marks the 12th all-time meeting between Mason and SBU. The Bonnies hold an 8-3 advantage in the series, including a 7-1 mark since Mason joined the A-10 in 2013-14. The Bonnies claimed victory in two of three meetings in 2018-19. Mason won in Fairfax, 68-53, on Jan. 6. Then SBU returned the favor in Olean on Feb. 17, taking a 79-56 victory. In the second round of the A-10 Tournament, the Bonnies won 68-57 en route to a berth in the league title game. Over the three games last year, Justin Kier averaged 18.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and shot 42.2 percent from the floor. Jordan Miller played in two of the three games in 2018-19 and average 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 58.8 percent (10-17).

A LOOK AT THE BONNIES (9-5, 1-0 A-10; NET No.  169, KenPom No. 125)
