FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team wraps up a two-game road stretch at Rhode Island on Saturday.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Ryan Center. Saturday's game will broadcast nationally on ESPN+.
 
PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason looks to snap a seven-game losing streak on Saturday against Rhode Island at 1 p.m. The Patriots aim for their first A-10 road win of the season.
 
* After trailing by as many as 16, Mason pulled within four in the fourth quarter (56-52), before falling to La Salle 77-65 on Wednesday.
 
* The Patriots finished 27.9 percent (19-68) from the floor and made six three-pointers (.240). La Salle shot 44.0 percent (22-50) and made nine 3-pointers (.346). Mason is 2-9 when its opponents make 7-or-more three-pointers.
 
* For the second straight game, Mason owned the advantage on the glass; +12 in total rebounds (47-35) and +18 in offensive boards (24-6).
 
* Four Patriots finished in double figures with junior Nicole Cardaño-Hillary posting a team-high 18 points. Junior Marika Korpinen (11) and senior Jacy Bolton (10) also added double-digit performances.
 
* Freshman Jazmyn Doster registered her first career double-double with career highs in points (11) and rebounds (12). She added a personal-best eight offensive boards in the loss.
 
* With a team-high 22 points vs. Davidson, Cardaño-Hillary became just the sixth player in program history to surpass 1,500 points in their career.
 
* Cardaño-Hillary is second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (17.7 ppg) and third in steals per game (2.1).
 
* Gatling is fifth in the A-10 in field goal percentage (.517) and second on the team in points per game (9.4).
 
* Bolton is ninth in the A-10 with 6.5 rebounds per game, and is third on the team, averaging 9.0 points per game.
 
* Cardaño-Hillary began the season 14th all-time in Mason program history in scoring with 1,218 points. With a career-high 41 points at Penn State (Nov. 24), the junior guard cracked the top-10. She now sits fifth in program history with 1,589 career points.
 
* The Patriots boast a 5-1 record when scoring 70+ points in a contest.  In wins, they are averaging 70.6 points while allowing just 60.3 points a game. Conversely, in losses, they are averaging just 58.6 points while surrendering 71.1 a game.
 
* Cardaño-Hillary has scored in double figures in 18-of-20 games this season and posted 20+ points in seven games.  She has scored 30+ points in her career five times – the fifth most in school history.
 
* Mason ranks first in the A-10 in offensive rebounds (15.0) and third in conference games only (14.1). In A-10 games, the Patriots are +32 in offensive rebounds (113-81), and +16 in total rebounds (298-282).
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Patriots have won four straight for a 4-2 lead in the series, all six meetings coming since Mason joined the Atlantic 10 in 2013-14. Last season, Mason defeated Rhode Island 75-69 behind 32 points from Cardaño-Hillary.
 
SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
Rhode Island came up just short against Davidson, falling 77-70 on Wednesday. The Rams moved to 10-9 overall and 3-4 in Atlantic 10 play.
 
Senior Nicole Jorgensen leads the team with 15.7 points per game, while shooting 52.0 percent from the field. She has scored in double figures 14 times this season and scored 20+ six times. The Quincy, Mass., native has been named A-10 Player of the Week three times this year.
 
Rhode Island was selected to finish 12th in the Atlantic 10 preseason coaches' poll while Jorgensen was named A-10 Preseason Third Team.
