Fairfax, Va.— The George Mason wrestling team celebrated a milestone and earned a fall against a ranked wrestler but dropped the match to Lock Haven, 25-17. 

The Bald Eagles (5-2, 1-1 MAC) started the day with a 14-0 advantage after three ranked wrestlers No. 14 Luke Werner, No. 29 DJ Fehlman and All-American Kyle Shoop earned points for Lock Haven.

Mason (7-4, 2-3 MAC) would win the next two matches to cut the Bald Eagles lead to 14-10. At 149 pounds, the Patriots Colston DiBlasi (22-8) achieved what only six other wrestlers in Mason history accomplished with his 100th career win. DiBlasi had a 4-0 lead going into the third period and finished with a major decision, 13-0, over Lock Haven's Brock Port. 

The Patriots have seven 100-win wrestlers in program history, led by Paul Maltagiati with 122. The other five are Scott Kirsch (119); Johnny Curtis and Chuck Toler (113); Rob Becker (109), and Adrian Austin (103).

In one of the most exciting matches of the day, Mason's Kolby Ho earned a fall (2:59) in the second period against #30 Alex Klucker. Ho had previously defeated the EWL Champion and national qualifier in last year's match-up at Lock Haven before dropping a decision to Klucker in the EWL Championship.

In the 184 pound bout, Mason's Paul Pierce earned a 11-4 decision against the Bald Eagles' Ray Bernot. The sophomore has won four of his last seven matches and  improves to 9-10 overall.

The Patriots Jake Slinger won the heavyweight bout in a 9-0 major decision over Trey Hartsock. The freshman improved to 5-6 in dual match action.
