FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team kicks off a two-game homestand on Wednesday against Davidson.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside EagleBank Arena. Wednesday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+, with commentary by
Steve Kolbe. In addition, Shawn Ouellette will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:50 p.m.
PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason fell to St. Bonaventure 62-47 on Sunday to cap off a two-game road swing. The Bonnies outscored the Patriots 23-9 in the second quarter.
* The Patriots failed to have a player in double figures for the first time this season. Freshman
Tamia Lawhorne led Mason with a team-high eight points and five rebounds.
* Mason finished with a 30.0 percent mark (15-50) from the floor and made just 5-of-16 three-point attempts (.313). St. Bonaventure shot 43.1 percent (22-51) from the field and finished with 10 three-pointers (.370).
* Senior
Jacy Bolton became the 20th player in program history to score 1,000 points in their career after scoring eight points at SMU (Dec. 31).
* Junior Nicole Cardaño-Hillary is third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (17.2 ppg). Forward
Camarie Gatling is second in the A-10 in field goal percentage (.518).
* Bolton is 10th in the A-10 with 6.9 rebounds per game, and is second on the team, averaging 9.7 points per game.
* Bolton surpassed 600 career rebounds with six boards against Bradley (Nov. 29). She now sits eighth all-time with 660 rebounds.
* Cardaño-Hillary began the season 14th all-time in Mason program history in scoring with 1,218 points. With a career-high 41 points at Penn State (Nov. 24), the junior guard cracked the top-10. Cardaño-Hillary is six points shy of a tie with Marcell Harrison (1990-94) for 6th place (1,499).
* Mason dropped to 6-1 when shooting 40.0 percent or better in a contest after finishing with a 41.7 percent mark (20-48) vs. Dayton.
* The Patriots boast a 5-1 record when scoring 70+ points in a contest.
* In wins, they are averaging 70.6 points while allowing just 60.3 points a game. Conversely, in losses, they are averaging just 56.2 points while surrendering 67.8 a game.
* Mason ranks first in the A-10 in offensive rebounds per game (14.8).
* The Patriots rank fourth in the A-10 in steals per game (7.19), with Cardaño-Hillary ranking second in the league with 2.1 spg.

SERIES HISTORY
Last season, Davidson earned a 67-59 win over Mason on Jan. 6 at Belk Arena in Davidson, N.C. With the win, Davidson knotted up the series at 3-3, with the home team winning every time. Prior to last season's matchup, four of the five previous matchups in the series had been decided by five points or less.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
For the second consecutive season, the Wildcats opened league play 3-0 after a 79-67 win over Rhode Island on Sunday inside Belk Arena. They improved to 10-6 overall with their third straight win.
Suzi-Rose Deegan is fourth in the A-10 in scoring (16.4 ppg). The freshman from Marmion, Australia, has scored in double figures in nine straight games and 12 of the past 13 overall. She has earned A-10 Rookie of the Week four times this season.
Davidson was picked to finish fifth as voted on by the league's coaches. The Wildcats are coming off their best finish in the A-10 since joining the league, going 17-15 overall last year with a 10-6 record in A-10 games (tied for 4th place). The Wildcats reached the postseason with an invite to the Women's Basketball Invitational. The 17 total wins were the most since a 22-win season during 2012-13, which was the last time they earned a postseason bid as well.
