FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team opens Atlantic 10 Conference play with a Revolutionary Rivalry matchup against George Washington on Saturday. The opening kick is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the GW Soccer Field in Washington, D.C.

It's the second straight year that the Patriots have opened conference play against the Colonials.

Last time out, George Washington (2-5-1) dropped a 1-0 decision to Villanova on Tuesday at the Higgins Soccer Complex in Villanova, Pa. It was the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

Villanova netted the lone goal of the match in the 71st minute of play and limited George Washington to just two shots on goal in the game.

Colonials graduate student midfielder Sandro Weber leads the team in goals (3) and is second in points (6). Senior midfielder Max Holdsworth leads the team in both assists (3) and points (7), while his two goals are second-most on the club.

In goal, freshman goalkeeper Justin Grady started the first six games of the season, posting a 2-3-1 record and 1.45 goals against average (24 SV/9 GA).Â

Senior goalkeeper Noah Lubin returned from injury and has started the last two games for the Colonials with a 0-2-0 record and 0.94 goals against average (9 SV/2 GA). He made seven saves in his collegiate debut in a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Rhode Island last Saturday.
