FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason freshman midfielder
Léon Reilhac scored his first collegiate goal, while sophomore goalkeeper
Brison Moorhead made four saves in a 1-1 double-overtime draw against Bucknell on Tuesday night at George Mason Stadium.
Mason (1-6-1) took the lead early in the match when Reilhac, who made his first career start, scored into the lower left corner from five yards out in the 17th minute. Senior midfielder
Ryan Mingachos picked up his first assist of the season on the goal.
The Patriots defense did the rest in the first half, holding the Bison without a shot on goal. Mason outshot Bucknell 4-0 over the first 45 minutes of play.
Bucknell (2-3-2) junior midfielder Matt Thorsheim netted the equalizer when he converted a penalty kick in the 75th minute to make it a 1-1 match.Â
Moorhead made four saves including three in the second half and one in overtime. Bucknell freshman goalkeeper Luke Smith made two saves in the match.
