Wake Forest
Wake Forest enters the weekend with a 7-1 overall record. The Deacons' lone loss came against Elon last weekend (Sept. 15). In their first five-set match of the season, the Deacons fought back from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set; but ultimately, Elon took the final, decisive set.

Mason has faced Wake Forest once in its all-time history, back in 1976. In the lone matchup, the Deacons claimed the victory over the Patriots.

Seton Hall
Seton Hall (3-8) went 1-2 at the Akron Invitational last weekend, picking up its lone win against Saint Francis (Pa.). The Pirates were swept by Eastern Kentucky and host Akron.

The Pirates are led by Haylee Gasser who has tallied 104 total kills thus far – good for a team-high 2.97 kills per set. Gasser was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her performances last weekend.

The two programs have only met twice all-time, with the record tied 1-1. The last meeting came in 1995, with the Patriots sweeping the Pirates.

William & Mary
William & Mary (4-4) picked up four-set wins over UNC Greensboro and Iona at the Georgetown Invitational (Sept. 13-14). The Tribe dropped its final match of the weekend to the host Hoyas via sweep.

Kate Dedrick leads the offense with 2.65 kills per set while Lauren Merrill has added 77 total kills thus far. On defense, middle blocker Julia Brown leads the team with 1.13 blocks per set.

The Tribe hold the advantage all-time, 41-31. The two teams last met on Sept. 6, 2014 in Fairfax, Va., resulting in a 3-1 win for the Patriots.
