FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team surrendered a pair of goals in the second half and fell to Liberty, 3-1, on Saturday night at George Mason Stadium.
Liberty (2-3-0) took the lead over Mason (1-4-0) when sophomore forward Tyler Welch scored his first goal of the season in the 35th minute to put the Flames in front 1-0.

Ryan Mingachos scored his second goal of the season, netting the equalizer in the final two minutes of the half when he converted a rebound chance off a corner kick to make it a 1-1 game. Senior midfielder

Early in the second half, Liberty junior forward Musa Morris scored from 40 yards out in the 50th minute to give the Flames a 2-1 advantage. Freshman midfielder Seth Clark collected the first of two assists on the night.
Liberty senior forward Carter Burris added an insurance goal in the 88th minute, with Clark assisting, for the 3-1 final.

Tillman Theurich made two saves, while Liberty freshman goalkeeper Danny Cordero also made two saves in the match.
