FAIRFAX, Va. – Nine road tests and one home game against a 2018 NCAA Tournament team highlight the 2019 schedule for the George Mason women's soccer team.

The Patriots will play an 18-game schedule during the regular season that includes nine games at George Mason Stadium and nine road matches.

Mason will kick off the regular season with two games on the road, playing their regular season opener in Greenville, N.C. against East Carolina on Aug. 22.  The Patriots beat the Pirates 2-1 last season at George Mason Stadium.

The Patriots will then travel to Norfolk, Va. to face Old Dominion on Aug. 25.  In their match last season, Mason bested Old Dominion 2-1 in Fairfax.

Mason will then host a two-game homestand at George Mason Stadium, kicking off with the home opener against Kentucky on Aug. 29.  The second home game of the season is set for Sept. 1 against Central Florida.  The Patriots downed the Knights 3-1 in Orlando, Fla. last season.

The Patriots will alternate road and home games for most of September.  They will travel to College Park, Md. to face Maryland (Sept. 5) before returning to Fairfax to host Binghamton (Sept. 8).  After travelling to Harrisonburg to play James Madison (Sept. 12), Mason will host Towson (Sept. 15) to conclude non-conference play.

The Patriots will play their first Atlantic 10 game against Dayton (Sept. 22) in Dayton, Ohio.  Mason will then host back-to-back home games in Fairfax against Massachusetts (Sept. 26) and VCU (Sept. 29).

Mason will start October with a three-game road trip, playing Fordham (Oct. 3) in Bronx, New York, Duquesne (Oct. 6) in Pittsburgh, Pa. and Davidson (Oct. 13) in Davidson, N.C.
