FAIRFAX, Va. – A stalwart in the Minnesota Timberwolves organization for two seasons, former George Mason University guard Marquise Moore will compete for the franchise during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas July 5-15.

Moore is entering his third season of professional basketball. Last season for the NBA G League's Iowa Wolves, Moore averaged 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 46.4 percent from the floor. In 24.3 minutes per game, he nearly doubled his scoring and rebounding and assist averages from his rookie campaign in Des Moines.

Moore starred for Mason over four seasons from 2013-17. During his senior campaign, he set a new Mason single-season rebounding record with 367 boards while ending his career seventh all-time at Mason in assists (363) and seventh in free throws made (373). The 2017 Chris Daniels Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player is the only player in Patriot history to post 1200+ points, 600+ rebounds and 300+ assists in a career.

As a senior, his 20 double-doubles were tied for the most by a Div. I NCAA guard since the stat has been kept (2009-10), while his 10.9 rebounds/game and 9.1 defensive rebounds/contest were tops by all Div. I guards since the 1993-94 campaign. The 6-foot-2-inch guard ranked third in the nation in 2016-17 in defensive rebounding and was eighth in the nation in overall rebounding.

From July 5-15, all 30 NBA teams along with the Chinese and Croatian National Teams for the first time, will participate in the 11-day, 83-game league which culminates in a tournament-style format to crown the NBA Summer League Champion. Teams will compete in four preliminary games beginning on July 5 before being seeded in a tournament that leads to the Championship Game on July 15. Each team will play at least five games in Las Vegas.

For the third-consecutive year, ESPN will present every game from Las Vegas via the ESPN App, along with 43 games on its linear television channels (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU). NBA TV, co-managed by the NBA and Turner Sports, will air a record 40 games.
