FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team hosts St. Bonaventure for a three-game series April 27-28. The Patriots (19-24, 7-10 A-10) take on the Bonnies (7-30, 4-12 A-10) for a Saturday doubleheader, first pitch set for noon. The series finale will be played at noon on Sunday.
All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots dropped their final nonconference game of the season to Georgetown, 9-6, on Wednesday. Despite going down 4-2, the Patriots cut the lead to one in the bottom of the sixth. The Hoyas then scored six runs in the seventh to extend their lead, 9-3.
With two outs in the bottom of the frame, the Patriots scored three runs off three hits. Ultimately, the Hoyas recorded the final out to claim the single game, 9-6. Pitcher

SCOUTING THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure: 7-30, 4-12 A-10
St. Bonaventure is currently on a seven-game losing streak. The Bonnies most recently fell in a single game to Buffalo on Wednesday, 12-3, and in a doubleheader to Canisius on Tuesday, 12-0 and 10-5.
The Bonnies have claimed two A-10 series wins this season – Rhode Island and La Salle.
Mason swept the three-game series against St. Bonaventure in 2018 and 2017. The Patriots have not dropped a game to the Bonnies since 2015.
