KINGSTON, R.I. – The George Mason baseball team resumes Atlantic 10 play, facing Rhode Island for a three-game series beginning Friday with the first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. at Bill Beck Field in Kingston, R.I.

Last time out, Mason (15-25, 2-10 A-10) fell to Navy, 18-12, on Wednesday at Spuhler Field.  The Midshipmen scored 18 runs on 19 hits, while Mason scored 12 runs on 19 hits.

Senior outfielder Brady Acker went 4-for-6 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored.  He has hit four of his five home runs this season over the last four games.

Sophomore outfielder Cam Reckling was 4-for-5 with his second home run of the season, two RBI and two runs scored, while senior shortstop Alejandro Aponte finished 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored against Navy.

The Patriots have hit 11 home runs in their last 13 games.

Mason junior catcher Logan Driscoll leads the team in average (.346), hits (44), home runs (8), RBI (27), and runs scored (30) in 35 games played.  He is tied for first on the team in doubles (9) and is second in walks (26).  Driscoll's eight home runs are tied for second-most in the A-10.

Acker is second on the club in average (.322) and is tied for first on the team in doubles (9) in 26 games played.  He is second on the squad in home runs (5), third in walks (25) and sixth in hits (28).
