FAIRFAX, Va. – Former George Mason University standout forward Will Thomas has been named the MVP of the EuroCup Finals after leading Spain's Valencia Basket to the team's fourth EuroCup title.
Thomas continues to shine as part of one of Europe's premier franchises more than a decade into his professional career. He helped Valencia amass an impressive 20-3 EuroCup record in 2018-19, including a 12-1 mark during the postseason.
In the finals, Thomas dazzled with 17.3 points per game. He also chipped in 4.3 rebounds per contest and shot 72 percent from 2-point range.
His scoring average (17.3 ppg) and PIR efficiency rating (21.3) were both tops in the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals.
In addition to this season's EuroCup title, Thomas also commanded Valencia to the 2017 Spanish League Championship and the Supercup title.
Thomas led George Mason to two NCAA Tournaments, including the 2006 Final Four, during a vaunted career with the Green & Gold. The two-time All-CAA selection ranks 10
th in school annals in career points (1,564) and is the program's all-time leader in field goal percentage (.616).
Thomas will be a part of Mason's
