FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason softball team will open Atlantic 10 play on the road with a three-game series against Dayton. The Patriots (8-13) will play a doubleheader on Saturday with game one starting at noon and game two following after and then one final game on Sunday at noon.

Both Saturday games will be streamed on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
Mason split a midweek doubleheader with Saint Francis (March 20). The Patriots fell in the first game, 12-8, after the Red Flash scored 11 unanswered runs. In the second game of the day, Mason picked up a 6-5 win after freshman Taylor Dadig drew the walk-off walk in the bottom of the seventh. The win marked the fourth walk-off victory for the Patriots this season.

DADIG DOING THINGS
Freshman shortstop Dadig went 4-for-7 with three RBIs and one run in Mason's doubleheader against SFU. She also earned the walk-off walk in game two, just four days after recording the walk-off sacrifice fly against East Carolina (March 16).

SENIOR SEYMOUR
Liz Seymour currently leads the team in hits (17) and RBIs (12). She notched her first home of the season in game two against the Red Flash. She finished the day going 4-for-7 with 2 RBIs while crossing the plate six times.

SOCUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton: 10-15
The Flyers recently split a doubleheader on March 20, defeating Bowling Green 5-4 but falling to Wright State 7-5. Prior to the doubleheader, the Flyers were on a four-game losing streak.

Jessica Gilliam (4-6) and Jessica Weaver (4-5) carry the pitching load for the Flyers while offensively, Kyle Davidson leads the squad in hits (30), runs (22) and at bats (81).

Mason and Dayton's all-time series record sits tied at 8-8. Last season, the Patriots swept the regular season series but fell to the Flyers, 4-2, in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championships.

UP NEXT
The Patriots return to Fairfax, Va., for a midweek doubleheader against Towson on Wednesday, March 27.
