FAIRFAX, Va. – After an impressive weekend at two meets in Boston, both George Mason men's and women's track and field teams made jumps in the regional rankings.
The squads both rank in the top 15 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Regional rankings on Monday. The men jumped in at ninth in the Southeast, while the women are ranked 11th in the region.
The men moved up four spots, ahead of 30 teams, including ACC programs Clemson (10th), North Carolina (12th) and Duke (13th).
The women made a huge leap, climbing seven spots to 11th. They sit just behind Virginia and one spot ahead of East Carolina.
