FAIRFAX, Va. – A veteran and a rookie led the George Mason women's lacrosse team to their first victory over the weekend and, on Monday, they were rewarded for their efforts.

Chachi Kelehan was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week and
Deanna Balsama was tabbed the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
Kelehan, the team's top scorer a year ago with 52 goals, scored four goals and dished out three assists in a 16-9 victory at Longwood on Saturday.
The attacker from Ellicott City, Md., scored her first four goals of the season - all in the first half. She twice scored on free-position attempts and also won a ground ball and caused a turnover.
Balsama added a career-high three goals on Saturday. The attacker from Sewell, N.J., recorded her third straight multi-goal game. She also collected a career-high four ground balls and tied a personal best with two caused turnovers. She leads the team in goals (seven) and points (10).
Mason (1-2) returns to action against American at 3 p.m. on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
