LACE UP 4 PEDIATRIC CANCER
The Patriots will be wearing gold uniforms and gold shoe laces during Thursday's game in support of Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer. Four dollars from every pair of $5 laces, plus 100 percent of donations go toward helping children with cancer and their families in the state the funds are raised.
 
SCOUTING LA SALLE
The Explorers (4-21, 1-10) dropped a 69-58 decision at Saint Louis on Sunday as they have lost 12 of 13. La Salle has nine players who average at least five points but not one player averages more than 10 points. They are led by sophomore Deja King, who leads the team with 9.0 points per game. Sophomore Michelle Nicholls leads the team with 61 assists. This will be the first of two matchups between Mason and La Salle this season as the teams will also meet in the regular-season finale on March 2 in Philadelphia.

SERIES HISTORY
La Salle holds a 5-4 edge in the all-time series but the Patriots swept the season series between the teams last season. In the teams' most recent meeting on Feb. 24, 2018, Mason won 65-55 as then-graduate student Natalie Butler scored 26 points and grabbed 17 rebounds while Nicole Cardaño-Hillary scored 19 points and Jacy Bolton added 10.

LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots suffered a 64-53 loss at Fordham on Sunday. Junior Sarah Kaminski tied a season high with 15 points on four 3-pointers. Sophomore Camarie Gatling added 12 points and seven rebounds and fellow sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary scored 11 points while dishing out five assists. But the Patriots committed 20 turnovers, which the Rams turned into 21 points. Mason never got closer than eight points in the second half as the A-10's second leading scorer, Bre Cavanaugh, scored a game-high 22 points.

ATLANTIC 10 LEADERS
Several Patriots are among the league's best in numerous statistical cat­egories. Sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary leads the Atlantic 10 in scor­ing with 20.9 points per game. In conference games, she is averaging a league-best 22.4 points. She also tops the league in steals with 51. Junior Jacy Bolton, who has seven double-doubles this season, is second in the A-10 with 8.5 rebounds a game. Sophomore forward Camarie Gatling also ranks second in the conference in shooting percentage (.561).
