FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team (4-4) hosts Elementary School Day on Wednesday against Bucknell.
 
Tip-off between the Bison and Patriots is scheduled for at 11 a.m. at EagleBank Arena. Wednesday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+, with commentary from Steve Kolbe. In addition, Shawn Ouellette will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 10:50 a.m.

PATRIOT POINTS
* Mason went 0-2 at the Coastal Carolina Thanksgiving Classic to move to 4-4 overall. Bradley scored a buzzer-beating layup to defeat Mason 61-59 on Nov. 29. On Sunday, Coastal outscored Mason 23-6 in the first quarter to power past the Patriots 74-59 in the tournament finale.
 
* Junior Nicole Cardaño-Hillary scored a game-high 21 points while going 9-of-12 from the free throw line against Coastal Carolina. 
 
* Mason and Bucknell will meet for just the eighth time in program history. The Bison lead the all-time series, 5-2, and have won the last four matchups. The two teams will be meeting for the first time since 2008.
 
* Cardaño-Hillary began the season 14th all-time in Mason program history in scoring with 1,218 points. With a career-high 41 points at Penn State (Nov. 24), the junior guard cracked the top-10. Cardaño-Hillary is three points shy of a tie with Vernesso Neamo (1,371) for ninth place.
 
* Cardaño-Hillary leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring (18.8 ppg). The junior guard scored a career-high 41 points, shooting 50 percent from the field (13-26 FG) and missing only one free throw attempt (13-of-14 FT) at Penn State (Nov. 24).
 
* Senior Jacy Bolton surpassed 600 career rebounds with six boards against Bradley (Nov. 29). She now sits 13th all-time with 604 rebounds. She ranks 10th in the A-10 in rebounds per game (6.9).
 
* Senior Sarah Kaminski moved into sole possession of third place in program history in career three-point field goals made with three treys against American (Nov. 21). She surpassed Krista Jay (1994-98) who finished her career with 146, and now sits at 156 career three-pointers.
 
* The Patriots overcame a 15-point deficit to earn its first-ever win over Penn State, 78-68, on Sunday afternoon in University Park, Pa. It also marked the Patriots' first win over a Power Five school since Nov. 14, 2014 when Mason knocked off Virginia Tech.
 
* After missing the first month of the season, freshman Vita Stam (Utrecht, Netherlands) is officially eligible to play her first collegiate game on Wednesday. 
 
* Mason is 4-0 when scoring over 70+ points in a contest. When the Patriots fail to reach that mark, they are 0-4. Same can be said for leading with 5:00 minutes to go, the Patriots are 4-0. When they trail at the five-minute mark, they are 0-4.
 
* Mason boasts a record of 3-0 when shooting 40 percent or better from the field.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Mason and Bucknell will meet for just the eighth time in program history. The Bison lead the all-time series, 5-2, and have won the last four matchups. The two teams will be meeting for the first time since 2008. Mason is looking for its first win over Bucknell since 1988.
 
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
Bucknell went 2-0 at the Puerto Rico Clasico and earned its first win over an American Athletic Conference opponent in program history with a 56-48 victory over Cincinnati on Nov. 28. Earlier this season, the Bison defeated Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure, 68-60, on Nov. 13 in Lewisburg, Pa.
 
Senior captain Ellie Mack paces the Bison with 15.3 points per game, including a career-high 33 points against Quinnipiac on Nov. 16. Mack ranks sixth in scoring, fifth in 3-point percentage (.435), and third in blocks among Patriot League players.
 
In 2018-19, the Bison finished 28-6 overall, 16-2 in Patriot League play, and defeated American 66-64 in the Patriot League Tournament championship game. As a best-ever No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Bison could not get a last-second shot to drop and fell to Florida State 70-67 in Charlotte, N.C.

Mason will take a two-week break from action before traveling to Navy on Thursday, Dec. 19. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.
