2020 George Mason Baseball Schedule
 
FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team has released its 2020 schedule, a 56-game slate that includes 24 contests against Atlantic 10 opponents.
 
For the second straight year, the Patriots begin the new campaign with a season-high seven straight games on the road from Feb. 14 through Feb. 23.  The stretch includes a matchup against North Carolina A&T State and two games against Butler Feb. 14-16 in Lexington, S.C.
 
Mason will travel to Miami for a three-game series against Florida International Feb. 21-23 and then face Maryland on Feb. 25 in College Park, Md.
 
The Patriots play their first home games on the season, hosting Iona for three games Feb. 28 through March 1 at Spuhler Field.  Mason went 13-16 at home in 2019, including a mark of 10-7 against non-conference opponents.
 
After a midweek road game at William & Mary on March 4 in Williamsburg, Va., the Patriots will play 10 of their next 12 games at Spuhler Field March 6-22.
 
Mason hosts Winthrop (March 6-8), then travels to take on Radford (March 10) and Virginia Tech (March 11). 
 
The Patriots return to Fairfax for a seven-game homestand, the longest of the season, hosting Albany for three games (March 13-15), a midweek matchup against Georgetown (March 18) and Atlantic 10 rival Dayton (March 20-22).
 
Eight of the next nine games on the schedule for the Patriots are on the road March 25 through April 7, beginning with a midweek contest at Towson (March 25).
 
Mason will play a three-game set against West Virginia (March 27-29) in Morgantown, WVa.  The Patriots host a midweek home game against Longwood to end the month (March 31) before heading north to take on St. Bonaventure in Olean, N.Y. (April 3-5).
 
The Patriots will play three home-and-home series during the 2020 season, taking on Georgetown, James Madison and Towson for single games at home and on the road.
 
Mason plays eight league series, four at home and four on the road.
 
Home series against A-10 foes include three-game weekend sets against Dayton (March 20-22), Davidson (April 17-19), La Salle (May 1-3) and Richmond (May 14-16).
 
The Patriots will visit St. Bonaventure (April 3-5), VCU (April 10-12), UMass (April 24-26) and George Washington (May 8-10).
 
Mason will play single road games at JMU (April 14), at Navy (April 22) and at Longwood (April 28).  The Patriots will host midweek games against Georgetown (March 18), Longwood (March 31),  JMU (April 8), Towson (April 21) and UMBC (April 29).
 
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held May 20-23 in Richmond, Va.
