FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team fell to VCU, 1-0, in the regular-season finale on Saturday night at George Mason Stadium.
Seeding for the Atlantic 10 Championship will be released Sunday morning.
Mason (4-12-1, 3-5-0 A-10) and VCU (7-7-2, 6-1-1 A-10) played a defensive first half, with each team recording just one shot on goal in the first 45 minutes of play.
With the game scoreless late in regulation, Rams junior forward Biska Biyombo netted his fifth goal of the season in the 83rd minute to put VCU in front. Junior midfielder Simon Fitch and senior defender Austin Graham picked up assists on the play.
Mason sophomore goalkeeper
Brison Moorhead made four saves, while VCU junior goalkeeper Mario Sequeira made two saves in the match.
