PITTSBURGH - The George Mason women's soccer team (2-9-1, 0-5-0 A-10) drops Atlantic 10 matchup against Duquesne (5-4-2, 3-2-0 A-10) on Sunday at Rooney Field.
Mason junior Kayla Hamric earned her third goal of the season in the 6th minute on a cross from redshirt sophomore Emma Lee.
The forward is now tied for the team lead in goals (3) and points (9) with fellow junior Jisca Adigo. Lee recorded an assist for the second straight game, as she now has two assists and two points on the year.
The early goal held for 71 minutes of play until the Dukes answered in the 77th minute with a goal by junior Lauren Bell.
Offensive pressure by both teams continued throughout the final half as both teams accumulated 12 shots in the final 45 minutes with three corner kicks for each squad.
The Dukes broke through in the final minute after junior Deena DeBaldo earned her team-leading eighth goal of the season in the 89th minute to lift Duquesne over Mason by a score of 2-1
Emma Lee and her twin sister Shannon Lee continue to produce great offensive chances for the Green & Gold off of cross plays. Hamric notched season highs in shots (4) and shots on goal (3), including a shot on goal in the 5th minute that ricocheted off of the right post.
"My heart goes out to our players as they played well in the past 2 road games but have nothing to show for it," head coach Todd Bramble said. "We will get some rest, regroup and get ready for our trip to Davidson next weekend."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Patriots earned a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks, however the Dukes led the game in shots (14-11). Each team recorded four shots on goal as both offenses spent a majority of their time in the opposing team's zone.
Hamric earned season highs in shots (4) and shots on goal (3).
