PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The George Mason women's volleyball team suffered a straight-set loss to La Salle on Friday night in its second match of conference play. The Patriots move to 4-10 overall and 0-2 in the Atlantic 10 while the Explorers improve to 7-7 overall and 2-1 in league play.
The Patriots wrap up their three-game road swing at Duquesne on Sunday. First serve scheduled for 1 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Alessia Del Romano collected career highs in kills (9) and blocks (4). Sophomore setter
Erin Derick recorded her seventh double-double of the season (26a/10d) while sophomore
Siron Hardy added nine kills at a .292 clip.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The Patriots debuted a new lineup, featuring outside hitter Del Romano and freshman middle blocker Jewel Clark.
- Mason hit .194 in the opening frame compared to La Salle's clip of .359. A 6-1 scoring run allowed the Explorers to take the first set, 25-16.
- La Salle finished the second set on a 5-0 scoring run, including two straight aces, to claim the second set, 25-22.
- With the third set tied 16-16, La Salle used two 3-0 scoring runs to take the frame, 25-19.
- Mason outblocked La Salle, 10 to three. Sophomore Peyton Ehmke posted four blocks.
- Overall, the Patriots hit .194 compared to La Salle's .284 clip.
