Patriots Prepare for Final Match on Sunday

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's soccer team (3-10-3, 1-6-2 A-10) heads to Olean, N.Y. to matchup against St. Bonaventure (6-10-1, 2-6-1 A-10) in the team's final match of the season.

The Patriots will look to end the season on a positive note, as the team has not lost a match since Oct. 17 versus La Salle. In their last two contests, Mason has played the top two teams in the Atlantic 10, in Saint Louis and George Washington. Those two games both resulted in ties over the past week.

Mason's game against George Washington on Thursday was a game of firsts, as sophomore Dacheka Kolcum and redshirt sophomore Emma Lee both earned their first collegiate goal. Despite the milestones, the Patriots could not put away the Colonials, as the game ended in a stalemate after going 110 minutes.

On the other side, the Bonnies are coming off of a 4-2 loss against Duquesne on Thursday. The Patriots will also look to play spoiler, as St. Bonaventure will honor their seniors on Sunday, in a game where both programs will have a little extra motivation to win.

The Bonnies have been outscored by their opponents by a score of 22-14, outshot by their oposotion 230-135 and have not been able to string together as many corner kick chances as their opponents (giving up 94 corner kick opportunities).
