BRONX, N.Y. – The George Mason men's soccer team played its final road match of the regular season, falling to Fordham, 3-1, on Saturday night at Jack Coffey Field in Bronx, N.Y.
Fordham (5-9-2, 4-2-1 A-10) took the lead over Mason (4-11-1, 3-4-0 A-10) early in the first half.
Fordham graduate student forward Filippo Ricupati scored his fourth goal of the season in the eighth minute to put the Rams in front 1-0.
Rams senior forward Johannes Pieles tallied his second goal of the season in the 36th minute to increase the advantage to 2-0.

Sukrija Dudic cut the lead in half in the 79th minute, scoring his first goal as a Patriot with a header to make it a 2-1 game. Senior midfielder
Daniel Damiani picked up his first assist of the season on the play.
Three minutes later, the Rams got the goal right back when Ricupati scored his second goal of the match in the 82nd minute to make the score 3-1.
Mason sophomore goalkeeper
Brison Moorhead made seven saves, while Fordham graduate student goalkeeper Konstantin Weis made four saves in the match.
