FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team (3-10-2, 1-6-1 A-10) finished a wet, rain-filled match on Sunday against Saint Louis (12-3-2, 7-0-1 A-10) to a no score stalemate. Sunday's contest was the Patriots' senior day for Kariana Blaszak, Emily Bradshaw, Gabriela Rivera and Morgan Symmers, who were honored by Mason Athletics.
The field was deemed unfit to play in the 71st minute, as the game was recorded as a tie.
In the 70 minutes of play, the Patriots recorded a total of three shots (one on goal), while the Billikens earned 12 shots (three on goal). Saint Louis thrived in corner kick chances, earning 13 total to Mason's one corner kick opportunity.
The play on Sunday afternoon was very limited, due to the rain. The pitch was slow and it was very tough for players to keep their dribble.
Senior goalkeeper, Morgan Symmers, who was honored prior to the match, came up with three big saves for the Patriots to keep the Billikens at bay.
The Sunday stalemate snaps the Billikens' 20-game winning streak in the Atlantic 10.
