FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's soccer team hits the road to face Davidson (8-4-2, 3-1-1 A-10) on Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m.
The Patriots are still searching for their first Atlantic 10 victory this season and their first road win of 2019.
Last time out, Mason suffered a tough loss at Duquesne. Junior Kayla Hamric scored in the 6th minute of the contest for the Patriots but could not keep the lead, as the Dukes recorded two goals in the final 23 minutes of the match defeating Mason 2-1.
For Davidson, The Wildcats recently had an eight-game unbeaten streak (6-0-2), which was the longest since 2009. The streak was snapped Sunday in a setback at Dayton. During the run, the 'Cats outscored the opposition 10-0 and went 3-0-2 at home.
Davidson also set a new school record with their eighth consecutive shutout in a 1-0 overtime win vs. Rhode Island last Friday.
The last time these two programs met, the Patriots earned a 3-0 victory over the Wildcats at George Mason Stadium on Sept. 30, 2018. Mason has never lost to Davidson as they have a 3-0-0 all-time record against the Wildcats.
