Mason Heads to the Bronx to Face Fordham

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team (2-7-1, 0-3-0 A-10) goes on the road Thursday to take on Fordham (2-8-2, 1-2-0 A-10) at Jack Coffey Field at 7 p.m.

Mason leads the all-time series by a record of 3-0-3. With history on their side, Patriots will look to earn their first conference victory of the season in the Bronx.

Last time out, the Patriots fell to VCU by a score of 5-1. Freshman Grace Hotaling secured her second goal of the season, while graduate student Gabriela Rivera recorded her fourth assist of 2019.

Junior Jisca Adigo is currently the Patriots leading scorer with nine points (three goals and three assists). Adigo leads the Patriots in goals (3), shots on goal (6) and shooting percentage (30 percent).

As for the Rams, they are coming off of a 1-0 loss at Richmond on Sunday. Fordham has only scored two goals in their last seven contests, as they are ranked last in the Atlantic 10 in goals scored (6).

Fordham is led by Cre Baker-Durante, who leads the Rams in points (5), goals (2), assists (1) and shooting percentage (25 percent).

The two teams have not played each other since Nov. 3, 2016, with Morgan Symmers, Emily Bradshaw and Kariana Blaszak being the only active student-athletes to face Fordham. In that contest three seasons ago, the Patriots met the Rams in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals where Mason won in a 2-1 overtime victory.
