FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team continues its season-opening road trip against No. 25 Tennessee on Sunday night, with the kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.

Rebecca Callison in the 83rd minute.
The Patriots finished with an 11-4 advantage in shots against the Buccaneers, including a 7-1 margin in shots on goal.
Last season, Mason fell to Tennessee 1-0 in the first meeting between the two teams since the 2000 season. Volunteers forward Meghan Flynn scored the lone goal of the match in the 82nd minute of play.
In a contest that featured a combined 33 shots, the Volunteers finished the game with eight shots on goal, while the Patriots registered five.
The Patriots have a 2-1-0 all-time record against the Volunteers, with a 3-1 win on Sept. 17, 1999 in Knoxville and a 1-0 victory on Sept. 15, 2000 at George Mason Stadium.
The Patriots look to start the season with a 2-0-0 record for the first time since 2009 and the seventh time in program history.
SCOUTING TENNESSEE
Tennessee finished the 2017 season ranked 25th in the nation with a 15-4-2 overall record, setting a program record for the highest single-season winning percentage at .762. The Volunteers were 6-3-1 in Southeastern Conference play, posted a record of 7-1-1 at home and went 8-2-0 on the road last season.
The Volunteers have been predicted to finish third in the SEC behind Florida and defending conference champion Texas A&M. It's Tennessee's highest ranking in the SEC soccer preseason poll since being selected third in 2013.
Tennessee opened the regular season with a 2-0 win over St. John's on Thursday at Regal Stadium. Freshman forward Amy Thompson and junior forward Mary Alice Vignola each scored in a span of 12 minutes late in the second half.
Senior forward Anna Bialczak was named Second Team All-SEC last season after finishing second on the team in goals (6) and third in both assists (4) and points (16).
Junior midfielder Katie Cousins scored two goals and added four assists during the 2017 season. She was selected First Team All-SEC and became just the sixth All-American in program history.
Sophomore forward Erin Gilroy was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team after recording four goals and adding nine assists for 17 points during the 2017 campaign.
In goal, senior Shae Yanez started all 21 games (15-4-2) for the Volunteers last season. She posted eight solo shutouts with a 0.91 goals against average and 69 saves.
