ITA Release

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University men's tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team, while seven of the program's student-athletes have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
 
The team put together a stellar 3.56 cumulative GPA to easily qualify for the combined award. Teams must hold a grade point average of 3.2 or better to take the honor.
 
Individually, six student-athletes garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades. That group includes senior Daniel Gutierrez – a 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® selection – as well as 2018 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team pick Edward Ayers.
 
In addition, Mason Provost Scholar-Athletes Giuliano Buzoianu and Pally Ray, as well as Ryan Charles, Alexis Pinsonneault and Isaiah Volk earned the individual award.
