FAIRFAX, Va. – One of the best freshman seasons in program history did not go unnoticed with the announcement of the Atlantic 10 Conference lacrosse awards on Wednesday.

Erin Donoghue was named A-10 Rookie of the Year, headlining a strong showing by the Patriots as five student-athletes earned all-conference recognition. The midfielder from Mount Laurel, N.J., is the first A-10 Rookie of the Year in program history and just the second conference rookie of the year overall (Meg Dentler was named CAA Rookie of the Year in 2002).
She also was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and to the All-Rookie Team. She is the first freshman in program history to earn all-conference first-team accolades.

Corinne Wessels all were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team. Greer and Warpinski also received All-Academic Team honors.
Donoghue played and started all 17 games in her first collegiate season as she was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week four times. She ranks second on the team in both goals (41) and draw controls (80). Her 80 draw controls are third-most in a season in program history and are currently fourth-most in the A-10 this season. Her 41 goals are 10th-most in the A-10 and in a season in program history.
She has scored multiple goals in 12 games and recorded three goals or more in eight games. She scored a career-high six goals at Old Dominion on March 24. In addition, she ranks third on the team in points (48), is tied for third-most on the team in caused turnovers (12) and ranks fourth in ground balls (29).
Warpinski earned all-conference honors for the second straight year. The defender from Harwood, Md., leads the team with 82 draw controls, 44 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers. She also has scored 23 goals, which are fourth-most on the team. The kinesiology major and the three-time Provost Scholar athlete also was tabbed to the A-10 All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year.
Greer, a defender from Flemington, N.J., also earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team honors for the second year in a row. The psychology major and three-time Provost Scholar Athlete also was tabbed to the A-10 All-Academic Team for the second time in her career. She ranks second on the team in ground balls (40) and caused turnovers (20).
Kelehan, a native of Ellicott City, Md., earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career. The 5-foot-7 attacker, who was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2016, leads the team with 49 goals and 73 points. Her 24 assists are second-most on the team. She also ranks third in the A-10 in points and fifth in goals.
Wessels, a graduate student who spent the last three seasons at Northwestern, ranks second on the team and fifth in the conference with 70 points. The attacker from Manassas, Va., leads the team and ranks second in the A-10 with 32 assists. Her 38 goals also are third-most on the team.
The Patriots open the Atlantic 10 Lacrosse Championship at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday against Saint Joseph's in the first round at Robins Stadium in Richmond.
