- George Mason continues its road swing with a weekend series against the defending A-10 champion Fordham Rams.
- The Patriots were led by RS-junior Jess Middleton at the plate in Wednesday's doubleheader at Towson. Middleton collected five hits and drove in five RBI to lead the team throughout the day in both categories.
- RS-freshman Adriana Erickson continued to swing a hot bat against the Tigers. She went 2-for-3 in game two and posted a career high three RBI.

FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason Softball team (11-20, 2-4 A-10) will get right back to work with its next matchup coming on the road against the defending Atlantic 10 champion Fordham Rams. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon beginning at noon, followed by the usual single game at noon on Sunday to wrap up the series.
Mason hosted Fordham around the same time last year and won the Sunday game 2-1 behind a complete game victory by
Marina Vitalich. The Patriots collected four hits and made them count, as one of them was a home run by
Jess Curbeira for her first dinger in the Green and Gold uniform. The Patriots walked it off in the bottom of the seventh via E6 to put Mason in the win column.
RS-junior
Jess Middleton enjoyed a breakout performance at Towson with five hits and five RBI. Her three hits and three RBI tied her personal career high. Her hits, doubles and runs batted in she recorded throughout Wednesday's doubleheader set season highs. Middleton also had three fielding chances in game one and made the play on all three of them.
Mason had five players with multi-hit performances in game two against Towson. In addition to Middleton, RS-freshman

Brooke Sullivan and sophomore
Alyssa Lawton all registered more than one hit. Erickson's two-hit game boosted her batting average to .315 and OPS to .864. For Lawton, it was her second multi-hit game of the season which ties her total from 2017.
Seymour and Sullivan continued to be steady bats in
Joe Verbanic's lineup as the two chipped in three, and two hits respectively throughout the two games on Wednesday. While both players are maintaining a batting average above .300, Seymour is now one hit behind Curbeira for the team lead, and Sullivan hammered another clutch hit last time out, with her most recent one giving Mason a two-run lead in the top of the seventh in game two.
On Wednesday, sophomore
Bekah Ansbro made her 13
th start of the season in game two and went six innings without surrendering an earned run (five unearned). After throwing six innings on Wednesday, Ansbro eclipsed the 70 inning mark this season to make George Mason one of two teams in the Atlantic 10 to have two pitchers throw at least 70 innings –
Haellie Gordon being the other Patriot at 76.1.
