FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team plays a mid-week, non-conference game against Towson on Wednesday, March 7 with the first pitch scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Spuhler Field in Fairfax, Va.
Mason (2-8) swept a doubleheader from Fairfield on Sunday, winning game one 7-5 and claiming the nightcap 7-1 to take two-of-three games in the series against the Stags.
"We had two great starts," Mason head coach
Bill Brown said. "The identity that you want to establish as a baseball team is that you pitch every day and play defense. We did that and it's no coincidence that we got two wins. We also capitalized on our opportunities with a big inning in the first and second game."
Mason redshirt-junior

Ryan Ricci recorded the first save of his collegiate career over the weekend.
"It's not easy to sweep a doubleheader," Brown said. "This is the first time since the season started that everybody has a smile on their face. We're going to move forward in a positive manner and that's the most important thing."
