DELAND, Fla. – A pair of senior captains had career days to lead the George Mason women's lacrosse team to a convincing road victory.
Midfielder
Hannah Warpinski and attack
Holly Tevis combined for 13 points as the Patriots rolled to a 17-9 victory over Stetson on Sunday at the Athletic Training Center. Warpinski scored a career-high six goals and won seven draw controls. Tevis scored a career-high three goals and had a personal-best four assists.
Graduate student
Corinne Wessels added two goals and four assists and freshman
Erin Donoghue also scored two goals, had three assists and set career-highs with 10 draw controls and six ground balls. She joined Warpinski as just the second play in program history with at least 10 draw controls in a game.
Mason (5-2) picked up its third victory in four games. The Patriots led from start to finish and scored the first seven goals of the game. Stetson (1-7) pulled within four goals 12:30 left in the first half. But Mason squashed the threat with four straight goals and never looked back.

Kristin Morgan each had a goal and an assist. Sophomore
Julianna Brown and freshman
Melissa Capri also scored. Sophomore goalkeeper
Melissa Semkiw made 11 saves on 26 shots.
The Patriots return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va.
