FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team will host the second of two Revolutionary Rivalry games with George Washington on Saturday inside EagleBank Arena.

Tip-off between the Patriots and Colonials is set for 4 p.m. Wednesday's game will be broadcast on Stadium, featuring commentary from Matt Martucci and Tim Welsh. The game will be broadcast on local television affiliates across the nation, as well as via an online stream. Locally, the game will be televised on NewsChannel 8 and Verizon Fios Ch. 820. In addition, Bill Rohland will call the game on the A-10 Digital Network, with pre-game audio coverage beginning at 3:45 p.m.

PATRIOT POINTS
• The contest will mark Mason's annual Homecoming Weekend game. More than 40 former men's basketball student-athletes will be recognized in a special on-court halftime ceremony.

• Mason is 7-6 at home this season, while the Colonials are 0-7 on the road in 2017-18.

• The Patriots are coming off a tough 67-66 loss at Fordham on Wednesday in the Bronx. Mason led by as many as 17 in the first half and 12 in the second, but Fordham hit 10 second-half 3-pointers to outscore the Patriots 44-33 in the frame.

• Mason led Fordham 33-23 at the half and limited the Rams to 31 percent shooting and 18.8 percent from beyond the arc.

• The Patriots held a +13 (47-34) rebounding edge vs. the Rams. Mason is +20 on the glass over the past two games.

• Fordham held a +8 (18-10) edge in points off turnovers after Mason committed a season-high 21 miscues Wednesday.

• Junior Otis Livingston II led Mason with team highs in points (16) and assists (7) vs. the Rams.  He's posted 10+ points in 10 of 11 A-10 games and 20+ points in seven of 11 league contests.

• Freshman Javon Greene added 11 points, six rebounds and made 3-of-5 3-point attempts. He's averaging 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shooting 50 percent over the past two contests for the Green & Gold.

• Sophomore Ian Boyd posted 15 points (6-10) and seven rebounds against the Rams. He's recorded 10+ points in four A-10 games off the bench for the Patriots.

• Junior standout Jaire Grayer has battled through an injury over the past four games while averaging 7.0 points and shooting just 28.6 percent from the floor and 14.3 percent from 3-point range. Grayer sat out the game vs. Richmond with the injury. He had played in all 88 games in his Mason career until that point.

• Grayer is fifth in the A-10 in rebounding (7.5 rpg), eighth in 3-point field goals made/game (2.3), ninth in steals (1.6 spg) and 11th in blocks (1.0 bpg).

• The Green & Gold are 3-7 when their opponent makes 10 or more 3-pointers this season.

HISTORY vs. GEORGE WASHINGTON
Wednesday's game marks the 22nd all-time meeting in the Revolutionary Rivalry. George Mason and George Washington are separated by just 20 miles. GW holds a 19-2 advantage in the series and is 4-2 in games played in Fairfax. GW has captured all nine meetings in A-10 play. This season, the Colonials won the first meeting, 80-68, on Jan. 17 in Foggy Bottom. Goanar Mar led the Patriots with 17 points and seven rebounds in the contest.

HISTORY vs. TEAMS IN OUR NATION'S CAPITAL
Wednesday's game will be Mason's 115th against a Washington, D.C. college. The Patriots are 61-53 (.535) overall and 39-34 (.534) against Div. I, D.C. schools. The Patriots' most common opponents are American (31-10), GW (2-19), Gallaudet (11-4), UDC (6-12) and Howard (6-4). Mason has played Georgetown just once, with the Hoyas earning a 75-63 victory in EagleBank Arena on Dec. 3, 1985.

A LOOK AT THE COLONIALS (10-14, 3-8 A-10; No. 197 RPI, No. 231 KenPom.com)
George Washington was picked to finish 11th out of 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll. The Colonials went 7-6 in non-conference play, including wins over Temple and Harvard. GW began A-10 play 2-4, then dropped four in a row before defeating La Salle on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. The Colonials rank in the top-5 nationally in fewest fouls per game (14.2). They also are 13th out of 14 A-10 teams and 295th nationally in field goal percentage defense (.466). The Colonials are led by preseason All-Atlantic 10 second team selection Yuta Watanabe, who leads the team in scoring (15.4 ppg), rebounding (6.2 rpg) and blocks (1.6 bpg). Jair Bolden chips in 11.7 points while Patrick Steeves is at 10.6 points and shoots 52.6 percent from the floor.

UP NEXT
Mason remains at home as Cupid's Arrow "flies" into EagleBank Arena for a Valentine's Day matchup with Dayton on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast regionally on MASN.
