Natalie Butler was once again honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference.
On Monday, Butler was named the A-10 Co-Player of the Week, marking the sixth time this season she has either shared or won the honor outright this season. Butler was also named College Sports Madness Atlantic 10 Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-5 center from Fairfax Station, Va., averaged 24.5 points, 16 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 3.0 blocks, and 2.0 assists in a pair of road wins last week. The 6-foot-5 graduate student from Fairfax Station, Va., scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 76-63 win at St. Bonaventure on Wednesday. She also had four blocks, four steals and two assists as she shot 9 of 14 from the field.
On Sunday, she scored 27 points and hauled in 15 rebounds for her 23rd straight double-double, which leads the country and is the fourth-longest streak in Division I women's basketball history. She also had three steals, two assists and two blocks. She has scored more than 20 points in eight games this season. She leads the nation in rebounding (15.8 rpg) and ranks first in the league in scoring (18.3 ppg).
The Patriots (18-6, 7-3 A-10) host Revolutionary Rival George Washington at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at EagleBank Arena.
