SCOUTING EASTERN KENTUCKY
The Colonels (1-7) are coming off their first victory of the season, a 90-35 blowout of Kentucky Christian on Wednesday at home. Senior Abby Wright leads EKU with 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds a game. Sophomore Bria Bass (9.8, 6.0 rpg) and redshirt junior Shay Solomon (9.0 ppg, 6.1 rpg) also provide depth at the guard position.

SERIES HISTORY
The teams have met just twice, with both squads winning a game. Mason rolled to a 64-41 victory in the teams' most recent meeting, just last December, in Fairfax. Nicole Cardaño-Hillary had 18 points andJacy Bolton added 11 points for the Patriots. Eastern Kentucky defeated the Patriots 68-61 on Feb. 7, 1980 in Mason's lone trip to Richmond, Ky.

MCCOOL BACK NEAR HOMETOWN
Sophomore Allie McCool will be playing near her hometown of St. Leon, Ind., which is about 130 miles northeast of Richmond. The 6-foot-2 forward was a two-time all-state selection at East Central High and left as the school's all-time leader in points (1,185), rebounds (932), blocked shots (188) and field-goal percentage (.593). She has started the last two games for the Patriots and is averaging 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds.

ATLANTIC 10 LEADERS
Several Patriots are among the league's best in numerous statistical categories. Sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 20.3 points per game. Sophomore forward Camarie Gatling also ranks first in the conference with a 58.3 shooting percentage.and fellow sophomore Marika Korpinen is atop the league in 3-point shooting percentage (.536). Junior Jacy Bolton, who has three double-doubles this season, ranks third in the A-10 with 8.1 rebounds a game.

LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots pulled away for a 72-46 victory over former CAA rival Delaware on Thursday night at EagleBank Arena. Sophomore Camarie Gatling recorded her second career double-double with a career-high 17 points and 10 rebounds in addition to two blocked shots and two assists. Sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary added 16 points and fellow sophomore Marika Korpinen had 13 points off three 3-pointers. Delaware shot just 32.1 percent from the field as the Patriots held an opponent to fewer than 50 points for the second time this season.
