SCOUTING UMES
The Hawks (3-8) snapped a four-game winning streak with a 86-73 victory at Mount St. Mary's on Dec. 20. Four Hawks scored in double figures, led by a career-high 28 points from senior Keyera Eaton. Senior Ciani Byrom leads UMES with 14.2 points a game, followed by 12.2 points a game from Eaton. The Hawks are in the second half of an eight-game road trip that will feature games in five states.

SERIES HISTORY
Mason holds a 6-1 advantage in the all-time series. For the second straight year, the teams are meeting at EagleBank Arena. The Patriots defeated the Hawks 82-68 last November. Nicole Cardaño-Hillary scored 25 points on 7-of-14 shooting and eight free throws in addition to four assists and two steals. Then-graduate student Natalie Butler also added 25 points and 13 rebounds and Jacy Bolton chipped in 11 points.

ATLANTIC 10 LEADERS
Several Patriots are among the league's best in numerous statistical categories. Sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 20.1 points per game. Sophomore forward Camarie Gatling also ranks first in the conference in shooting percentage (.591). Fellow sophomore Marika Korpinen is second in 3-point shooting percentage (.432). Junior Jacy Bolton, who has three double-doubles this season, ranks third in the A-10 with 7.5 rebounds a game.
