FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason senior captain 
Emily Littell has been selected Atlantic 10 Second Team midfielder and to the 11-member conference All-Academic Team, while sophomore defender 
Shannon Lee has been named A-10 Second Team Defense, the league announced on Thursday.
Littell, from Leesburg, Va., has started all 19 games for the Patriots and has played 1,543 minutes this season, third-most of any field player on the team.
Entering the Atlantic 10 Championship semifinals, Littell is second on the team with a career-high five goals and second on the club in points (12).  Among A-10 leaders, Littell is tied for seventh in game-winners (3), tied for 16th in goals and tied for 18th in points.
Littell, a bioengineering major, is a member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and has been named to the A-10 All-Academic Team for the third straight year (2016, 2017, 2018).
Lee, a native of Haymarket, Va., has started all 19 games for Mason this season.  She has played every minute in 16 of 19 matches and leads all field players on the team with 1,685 minutes played.
The sophomore defender netted her first career game-winning goal in the 22nd minute in Mason's 5-1 victory over Rhode Island on Oct. 21.
Lee, who helped anchor a Mason defense that recorded seven shutouts, finished the regular season with one goal and is tied for second on the squad in assists (4) and tied for sixth on the club in points (6).
